Does it change the appearance of the tile?

There is no significant change in the appearance of the tile but it is always good to check, this is why we do a small, no obligation, test patch for you in advance to see how it looks and how effective it is.

How is it applied?

Firstly the surface must be thoroughly clean and dry. We use a specialist degreasing agent to clean your tiles removing all dirt, grease, oil & grime... bringing the tiles back to new before applying.  We then work the treatment into the tile and allow it to dry.

How long before we can walk on the area?

Surfaces can be used as soon as it is dry which is very soon after the treatment is laid. This means there is very little distrupion to your home or business.

How long does it last?

Once lightly trafficked areas are treated they will usually have an effective slip resistance for at least 3 years, and in most cases a lot longer.

Areas subject to regular and heavy usage such as reception areas, foyers, shops, restaurants and bars etc may require re-treatment sooner, dependent on the level of surface abrasion.

How does it actually work?

Our treatment is transparent, it reacts with the tile creating micropores in the surface which create a vacuum effect when walked on when wet, thereby considerably improving the traction and seriously reducing the risk of slipping.
